Just a short walk from the Chale Green village stores and cafe. All the Isle of Wight’s historic attractions and famous festivals are a short drive away.

Welcome to The Isle of Wight

The best of UK sunshine

Fircones?is?situated on the wildly beautiful South coast of the Isle of Wight?with its beautiful views of the back of the Needles. There are many walking and cycling trails straight from the front door with Hoy Monument 270m high to the east and the Military Road providing road racing for cyclists for 11 miles of hills and bends. There are also off-road tracks for cyclists. The coast is one long bay 18 miles long broken up by chines and smaller bays.?Compton bay and beach are popular with surfers due to waves that come across the Atlantic.

The home of dinosaurs 150 million years ago, this part of the Island is full of natural resources to experience and enjoy. Fossils are regularly found on these beaches.

We are lucky to have The Wight Mouse pub nearby and The Chequers, while the Chale Green village shop provides most provisions and a cafe used by many cyclists and hikers.

Newport, the Island capital, is 15 minutes drive away with a big shopping centre, supermarkets, cinema, theatre and restaurants. If you like history we also have Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne House close by.

Beaches to the east include Ventnor, Shanklin, Sandown, Seaview and Ryde. Perfect for young families who want ice creams and buckets and spades.

We can provide maps and information for our guests whatever your?needs. Please ask.
